Tree Bracing

Martel Foresterie Urbaine Will Take Charge of Bracing Your Trees

There are three different types of tree bracing:

• Rigid tree bracing, which involves strengthening a weak fork using a rust-resistant threaded bar. Installation of the bar involves drilling a hole through the two branches to be strengthened. This type of work is only carried out as a preventive measure, and the cost includes the required materials.

• Flexible tree bracing, which involves strengthening a weak fork using a rust-resistant steel cable. Installation of the cable involves drilling a hole through the two branches to be strengthened. This type of work is only carried out as a preventive measure, and the cost includes the required materials.

The third type of tree bracing technique is called BOA or COBRA bracing. This technique does not involve drilling holes in the branches, and therefore, is less harmful to the tree. On the other hand, the life span of BOA or COBRA bracing is less than that of metallic cables, and the cost is higher.
